Your government would like to hear from you! The Outpost presents the following release from the Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services Facebook page:
Humboldt County OES would like to hear from the community about how the power outage affected your family, job, and/or business. This information will help us to assess the impact on the county and may inform how we plan for power outages and local emergencies in the future. Please take the survey and share the link!
We will post additional public information next week about the circumstances and timing of the outage, in response to the many questions that we all have about this unexpected loss of power to the entire county.
Until then, we’d like to thank all members of the Humboldt community who were prepared for the possibility of a loss of power, as we should all expect following a natural disaster, and all of you who helped your neighbors and communities.
Huge thanks to all of our exceptional response partners who stepped up to provide services and resources, and staffed the County Emergency Operations Center, including the Blue Lake Rancheria and OES, Humboldt Bay Fire, Eureka Police Department, Cal Fire, and many others!
