The Foothill Cougars took full advantage of their speed and exploded for several big plays on the way to a 35-20 win over the Huskies in Fortuna on Friday night.
The visitors scored touchdowns on plays of 69, 44 and 37 yards, as well as a 90-yard kickoff return.
For Fortuna, junior running back Levi Nyberg rushed for three touchdowns and 95 yards.
Younger brother Regan Nyberg added three catches for 54 yards.
With the loss, the Huskies drop to 2-5 on the season, while the Cougars improved to 4-2 with their second straight win.
Fortuna quarterback Daeden Taylor completed three of eight passes for 60 yards, while Kobe Letter grounded out 40 yards on eight carries and Jordan Bennett had nine carries for 39 yards.
The Huskies open the Big 4 at Eureka next week.
