Photos by Ray Hamill/HumboldtSports.com – The McKinleyville Panthers defeated the Fortuna Huskies in four sets on Tuesday night.

The McKinleyville Panthers kept the pressure on league leaders Arcata by defeating Fortuna in four sets in Big 5 volleyball at Mack High on Tuesday.

The Panthers won 25-16, 20-25, 25-11, 25-13.

With the win, McKinleyville improves to 5-1 in league play and is now tied with the Tigers in the win column.

Arcata, which had a bye on Tuesday, is 5-0 and won an earlier Big 5 match between the two frontrunners.

The two teams will meet again in what is likely to be the league decider on October 24 at McKinleyville.

Hailee Henry continued her impressive season in Tuesday’s win, finishing with six kills, nine blocks and seven aces, while teammate Rian Heenan added six kills, eight blocks and four aces.

Lexi White also had a big game with 23 assists, 15 digs and three aces.
