Richard Melvin Doss was born on March 3, 1944, to Melvin and Minnie Doss and passed away October 9, 2019, due to complications from over 18 years with Alzheimers.

Richard worked in lumber mills and later started driving truck. Then in 1973 he started his own trucking company, Rich Doss, Inc. with one truck. The company is still running in Santa Rosa, which is the original headquarters.  He was known to always give a helping hand, and influenced other trucking companies in the area.  He truly loved what did and the people he met along the way.  

Richard leaves behind his wife of 30 years Judy Doss, daughters Linnea Fitzsimmons (John), Renee Washburn (Steve) sons Adam Doss and Sheldon Doss (Bethany), step daughters Maika Armstrong, Michelle Bott, and 10 grandchildren. 

A celebration of life is being held in Santa Rosa on November 9, 2019 at Vintners Inn, 4350 Barnes Road from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. In leu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers or Hospice of the Valley, Sherman house, as they were so loving and caring.
