Looking for a way to give back during these dark times? Northern California Community Blood Bank spokesperson John Gullam told the Outpost that the local blood bank and bloodmobiles are still taking donations today.

“The need for blood components doesn’t take a day off when the lights go out,” Gullam said.

Here’s a complete list and schedule of where and when to donate today:

  • Arcata CO-OP - 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Hoopa Valley High School - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The Blood Center at 2524 Harrison Ave. in Eureka - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
