The McKinleyville Panthers got back to winning ways with a straight sets win in H-DNL volleyball at Fortuna on Thursday night.

The Panthers won 26-24, 25-14, 25-16.

With the win, the Mack girls improved to 2-1 in the Big 5 and 12-5 overall.

Cameron Heenan led the way in the win with 11  kills, 17 digs and three aces, while teammates Hailee Henry and Rian Heenan each had an errorless night hitting.

Henry finished with four kills, four solo blocks and a pair of aces, while Rian Heenan had three kills, three solo blocks and two aces.

McKinleyville’s Lexi White also had a big game, finishing with 23 assists and 17 digs.

For Fortuna, which dropped to 1-2 in league play, Renee Metz finished with a team-high nine digs, while Kendall Stewart had four kills.

Teammate Kenzie Hall added five digs and a pair of aces.
