Ray Hamill/HumboldtSports.com – Eureka’s Trevor Bell

The Eureka Loggers will be looking for more consistency from their offense this week as they take to the road for the first time this season on Friday night.

Despite an 0-2 start, however, there have been plenty of positives from a very new-look Eureka team through the early going.

The team defense has looked solid against two top notch programs, even if the Loggers faded late in their opener against Placer.

Offensively, the Loggers have pieced together some nice drives led by quarterback Trevor Bell, against a couple of good defenses.

Bell has been making plays with both his arm and his feet, catching opponents off guard with his scrambling ability.

As the senior quarterback continues to grow, so too will the Loggers offense, which should be back to full health soon.

Friday’s game at Foothill is the first of four road games in five weeks for Eureka.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
