Mitchel Lee Phillips, Sr, age 62, a resident of Rio Dell, passed away peacefully in his family home with his family by his side on August 24th, 2019.

Mitchel was born on February 26, 1957 in San Jose, California to Jerry and Dorothy Phillips. Mitchel was the firstborn of three children.

Although Mitch was born with a severe heart condition, he lived his life to the fullest. His love of trucks along with being raised in the trucking industry led him to become a successful business owner, which he creatively named ‘MAP Lines,’ meaning Mitchel and Patricia (his beloved wife) Lines.  As Mitch added to those miles onto his odometer, he was drawn to the beautiful Redwoods and built his family home in Rio Dell in 2002.

The loves of his life included his family, his obsession with 18 wheelers, his appreciation for the steady rhythm of music, and his gratitude for nature.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Patricia Mary Phillips, his four children: Mitchel Lee Phillips Jr., Micah Brian Phillips, Michelle Johanna Phillips Greeson, and Matthew Walter Phillips, his seven grandchildren: Lauren Anne Peerson, Jacob Peerson, Reese Elizabeth Greeson, Roxanna Belle Greeson, Griffin Vaughn Greeson, Scarlett Rose Phillips, and Levi Matthew Phillips, his father Jerry Phillips and his two sisters Jerilyn Tregalia and Kimberly Bell.
