Daniel Anthony Lawrence passed away at his home in Eureka on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 at the age of 66. Dan is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Katy Lawrence, and his sister Kara Lawrence Westman.

Dan is lovingly remembered by his sister Maureen Lawrence Haro of Hollister and other relatives and friends.

Daniel was born in Eureka on Jan. 12, 1953. He graduated from Fortuna Union High School in 1971. He went on to join the Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam War until May 1972. Upon his return home, Daniel went on to work in the lumber industry for many years. Daniel enjoyed watching sports, especially baseballl (SF Giants). He also enjoyed watching movies, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Prayers will be offered by Calvary Chapel, 914 9th Street, Fortuna, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, followed by a gathering at the church to celebrate Dan’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Administration.
