John
Henry Hower, lifelong resident of Pepperwood, died peacefully in
Willits on March 16, 2020, at the age of 86.
John is survived by his sister, Delores, his children, Denniece, Ed, and Charlie, his grandchildren, Kenny, Tyler, Vincent, Ashley and Melinda. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie, his son John Emerson, and his grandson Chad.
John was born on September 19, 1933 to Jack and Irma. He made it through school and joined the Army, from 1952 to 1954.
He married Jessie Louise Strickland in August of 1954 and worked for the government for 25+ years as a trapper, where he made a name for himself and too many friends to mention.
John was accomplished at truck driver and often a mechanic. He was a witty individual who loved his dogs and was passionate about blackberry pie.
A funeral and celebration of life will be scheduled and held at later date, dependent on the pandemic.
