Dean Lloyd Crenshaw
September 15th, 1962 - March 19th, 2020
Dean, eldest son of Lawrence Crenshaw Jr. and Rosealee Loghry Crenshaw, was laid to rest on March 30. The sky wept as Dean’s earthly body was committed to the ground, amid world chaos, akin to his birth — amid panic, born two months early, in the car on the Alderpoint Road switchbacks. Perhaps his joining and departing of this world needed such grandiose circumstance.
In life Dean was a gentle soul with an easy smile and a big laugh. He was easy-going to a fault. The eldest son, second child of eight, he was known for his quiet, good-hearted nature amidst a gaggle of rowdy siblings. Somehow, he was the best of us.

Two smiling eyes stopped smiling,
A golden heart stood still,
We don’t know why God took you,
And guess we never will.
He only lent you to us,
Then came and took you back,
To us you were so precious,
Your life was full of fun,
A caring, loving brother,
A darling little son.
Dean is survived by his mother, Rosealee Crenshaw of Alderpoint; sister Tammie Goergen and family, of White City, Oregon; brother Mickey Crenshaw and family, of Alderpoint; brother Bobby Crenshaw and family, of Fortuna; brother Ricky Crenshaw and family, of Alderpoint; sister Lisa Music and family, of Garberville; brother Tim Crenshaw and family, of Fortuna; and countless, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
