John Charles Provolt passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2020. John was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 22, 1956 to Jack and Lois Provolt. He moved with his family to Humboldt County at a very young age and remained a resident his entire life. John was a beloved son, husband, father and brother but most of all he was an adored “Papa-son” to his ten grandchildren.

Among his many talents, he was known as the best grilled cheese sandwich maker, hot cocoa mixer, foot massager, kindlin cutter, joke teller, juggler, and wagon ride giver. A born baseball player, he passed on his love of the game to his son and grandchildren. He loved Hank Williams Jr., root beer floats and would never pass up a good piece of pizza. He always enjoyed a good game of scrabble with Grandma Susie, his scrabble partner in crime.

He will be laid to rest alongside his mother, father and sister in Williams, Oregon. Our Papa-son will be missed everyday and loved forever.
