Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On August 25, 2020, at about 12:46 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol on Bell Springs Road near Alderpoint Road in Southern Humboldt located an adult male stabbing victim who was being transported privately to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Deputies rendered life-saving aid to the victim. The victim was then transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Upon further investigation, deputies learned that an assault resulting in the victim’s injuries reportedly occurred at a property in the Harris area. Deputies served a search warrant at the property to collect further evidence and information.

This is an active investigation. There is no suspect information available for release at this time. More information will be released when available and appropriate.
