Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release:
On February 27th, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force, with the assistance from detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Police unit, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 4600 block of Myers Avenue, Eureka. During their multi-week investigation, agents received information the resident, Riley Wilson Bean, (age 26) is distributing heroin from his residence.
Upon arrival agents detained Bean, along with the homeowner, Katheryn Forcier Walton, (age 41) without incident. Agents searched the residence and located over 10 ounces of suspected heroin packaged for sales. Agents also located a loaded firearm within close proximity of the heroin. In addition, agents located over $5,600 in U.S. currency that is believed to be profits from illegal narcotics sales. This currency was seized and will be held pending future asset forfeiture proceedings.
Agents subsequently placed Bean under arrest for possession of controlled substances for sales, felon in possession of a firearm, violation of probation, and three outstanding felony warrants. Walton was also arrested for possession of suspected methamphetamine and operating a residence for the purpose of narcotics sales.
Both subjects were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
