Press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:
The Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF) is a multi-agency narcotics task force whose mission is to disrupt or dismantle mid to upper level drug trafficking organizations.
The HCDTF is operationally ran under the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The Task Force is governed by the leadership of the following agencies: Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Eureka Police Department, Arcata Police Department, Fortuna Police Department, California Highway Patrol, and the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office.
Each law enforcement agency is responsible for supplying a task force agent to HCDTF. The success of the HCDTF is contributed to the outstanding interagency teamwork and community collaboration.

Below is statistical data for calendar year 2019:
- Methamphetamine seized: 51.83 pounds — estimated street value: $939,160
- Heroin seized: 37.46 pounds — estimated street value: $1,018,163
- Cocaine: 285.2 grams — estimated street value: $28,520
In addition, the HCDTF seized 42 illegally possessed firearms, various amounts of illegally possessed prescription drugs, and other illegally possessed narcotics.
