31, 2020,
Anita was a long-time resident of Eureka – over 70 years. Anita was born on August 15, 1930 in Shelton, Washington to the late Theodore and Fern Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verner Westman, her infant son Teddy Deckert, daughter Lorena Deckert, and brothers Eugene and Dale Robinson.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Deckert, Clint/Barb Deckert, Ron Deckert; and daughter Kathy/Peter Morry; brother Leroy Robinson; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Anita’s passion was doll-making. She formed AniLyn Dolls with her partner Lyndall Parsons. She also enjoyed attending Gospel Shoreline Church of God, and loved dancing, bowling, ceramics and hair setting. She was a loving and kind person, with a smile that would melt anyone’s heart. Her thoughtfulness and patience had no end, even in her last days on Earth. She had a special quality about her in everything she did.
Because she gave us so much unconditional love and comfort, we will carry a piece of her with us forever.
Fly high sweet angel, you will be missed so very much.
The family would like to acknowledge her caregiver Sondra (Sandy) Robinson for her loving care and kindness in Anita’s last few months, and for all her help with a whole lot more. The family will forever be thankful for you.
We would also like to thank Hospice of Humboldt for their loving care/help in Anita’s care.
Anita will be in the care of Humboldt Cremation & Funeral Service of Eureka. Her final resting place will be Ocean View Cemetery at 3975 Broadview Street, Eureka.
