Lucille Lois West passed away at home in Rio Dell on March 13, 2020 from complications of old age. We heard her say many times she had a good life.
Luci was born February 10,1925 to Nelce and Phyllis West in San Francisco. Luci was preceded in death by her husband, Verral P. “Buzz” Lincoln, brother Willis Nelce West, MIA in 1950 during the Korean conflict. She married Verral P. “Buzz” Lincoln on June 25, 1946. She is survived by her two children, Larry Lincoln and Linda Barsanti, four grandchildren, Michelle Peterson, Ron Moser, Alexandra Lincoln, Andrew Lincoln, plus five great grandchildren, Jacob Moser, Joshua Moser, Crystal Peterson, Craig Peterson and Veyda Flores.
Mom had many interesting jobs during her lifetime, such as being a sheet metal welder during WWII at Marinship in Sausalito and the Dart Game at Playland on the Beach in San Francisco. The job she retired from was School Secretary and Bookkeeper for Murphy Elementary School in Scotia. In her very first job she was paid $1.00 per hour. Mom also liked to remind us that her grandfather would give her 20 cents for the movies and a candy bar, that a loaf of bread was 10 cents, an ice cream cone was 5 cents and that her first gold inlay cost just $35 in 1944.
Mom loved her family, but kept a special place in her heart for the S.F. Giants.
