They’re back! LoCO regulars will recall last month when local diaper-changing hip hop duo Area Sound rapped about their “Glamorous Lifestyle” to help Humboldt chase its COVID blues away. Well, Liam “Steamer” Nelson and Zach “Zigzilla” Lehner managed to find the time to whip up another video for your perusal, this one for the song “It’s a Trap” off their latest album Squeeze the Elephant.

“The track is a high energy fantasy adventure rap,” Nelson told the Outpost. “Think Indiana Jones meets Outkast, if that makes any sense.” 

For the video’s animated sections, Lehner said he turned to Storyboard That, a program he usually uses with his Zane Middle School Students. 

“It’s no Gorillaz-level animation as I envisioned it to be, but for my first attempt to produce an animated video I am pretty proud of it,” he said.
