Today
I’d like to give you a look into the life of Sandra Caudle, better
known as “Sandy.” She was born on Aug 4, 1950, in Eureka. She lived primarily in Humboldt County for most of her life.
However, she also lived in Winnemucca, Nevada and Kenai, Alaska.
She worked for Simpson Lumber Company pulling green chain. She was one of the first women to ever take on such a job. She then ran Cutten Market & Deli, afterwards owning her own restaurant and catering business, Sky Dive-In Cafe and Catering at the Murray Field Airport in Eureka. Finally, she ran the deli at Cher-ae Heights Casino.
Apart from non-payroll jobs, she raised her two children then went on to raise two of her grandchildren. Sandra wore many hats — she was a mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and most importantly, my best friend. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unconditional selfless love.
Sandy left behind her youngest daughter, Christina Baird; her sister Linda Sells; her brother, Randy Caudle; grandchildren John Caudle, Samantha Church and Suzanna Church; great-grandchildren Robert Pratt Jr., Roxanna Foreman and Rayce Caudle; and numerous other close loved relatives.
Sandra was predeceased by her mother, Willa Caudle, and father, Robert Caudle; daughter Regina Caudle; and her late partner Donald Mizer.
Sandy will be resting at Ocean View Cemetery. We will be having a small service to lay her to rest. Afterwards we will have a celebration of life, once the S-I-P order is lifted.
Grandma, I love you. See ya later, alligator.
