Tom
Burns, born in Palo Alto on July 21,1953, son of B.J. and George
Burns, died in a traffic collision in Eureka, on Oct. 24, 2020.
He leaves his sisters Kelly B. Livingston (Ron Samuels) and Megan Burns, nieces and nephews Tyler B. Livingston, Maeve, Rose and Jack Burns Greenberg and an aunt and cousins.
Tom grew up in Los Altos, then Los Angeles and then moved to Humboldt County in 1975. His adventures and life began in Big Lagoon and ended up in Eureka, with all sorts of jobs and varied life events along the way.
Very special acknowledgements and deep gratitude go to Tom’s additional family — the Eureka Rescue Mission — for their unwavering support, faith and kindness.
Tom will be missed by family and friends.
