Juanita Karen (Parker) Miner (Nana)
July 11, 1955- August 24, 2020

Juanita passed away peacefully on August 24, 2020 after complications from a stroke that occurred in June.

Juanita Karen Miner (Parker) was born on July 11, 1955 to Jack and Joyce Parker in Vallejo. She was the oldest of three siblings. She married at 17 to the love of her life, David Miner, with whom they had four children. They moved to Humboldt County, where she has remained a long-time resident. Juanita enjoyed her family and always loved attending family gatherings and functions. One of her favorites was having family BBQs. She would always ask for her two most favorite dishes — BBQ short ribs and homemade potato salad.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, David, Parents Jack & Joyce Parker. She is survived by her four children — Vanessa (Mario) Mena, Donny (Tabatha) Miner, Danny Miner, and Nancy (Ruben) Bernal — 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Further survived by sisters Denise (Bob) Rayburn, Colleen (Denny) Martell and brother Aaron (Tina) Parker and brother in law Dennis (Kirsten) Miner and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to thank the following agencies for their support and care of Juanita throughout the years. Regional center (Tracey), Chance for Change (Erika, Kristine,Mike, Sara) and mental health (staff), HCAR care providers and IHSS (Sandy).

A private celebration of life for Juanita will be held September 7, 2020.
