The Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services has announced, via social media, that Alderpoint and neighboring communities — everything along the Alderpoint Road south of Bridgeville — are ordered to evacuate immediately.
Due to rapid evolving wildfire, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an IMMEDIATE EVACUATION ORDER for the areas south of Highway 36 in Bridgeville, and all communities along Alderpoint Road down to the Mendocino / Trinity County Line.
The Hopkins Fire is progressing northwest from the south. All residents in this area should evacuate now. Residents are advised to take Alderpoint Road as an evacuation route.
