Agents Bust Another Fentanyl Importer on Highway 101, Drug Task Force Says

From the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:
On April 12th, 2021 agents with the
Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance of the
Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) made a traffic stop on a
vehicle on northbound Highway 101 in Loleta. Agents had been
investigating the driver, George
Malamphy (68 years old from
San Francisco), for trafficking Fentanyl into Humboldt County. Agents
had previously obtained a search warrant for Malamphy and his
vehicle.
During
the service of the search warrant agents located 1.5 ounces of
Fentanyl, 2.5 ounces of heroin, 1 ounce of powder cocaine, 2 grams of
rock cocaine, MDMA pills, and 2 grams of methamphetamine in the
vehicle. Agents also located a digital scale and packaging materials.
Malamphy was arrested and booked at the Humboldt County Jail for the
following charges:

controlled substances for sale
H&S 11352(b) Transportation of
controlled substances across non-contiguous counties
H&S 11351 Possession of controlled
substance for sale
