Dan House passed away from cancer at home with family by his side at the age of 86 on April 17, 2021. He was a proud veteran who served in the Navy, and then went on to retire from Caltrans.

Since then has enjoyed spending his time with his family. He got the biggest kick out of all of his grandkids, and was always telling stories about what one of us has done. He was so proud of his family — he always said “This is what it’s all about.” He was the best husband, dad and papa, and we were blessed that he was ours. The hardest thing is saying goodbye, but we will see you again.

For now he is reunited with his son Dallas House, who is greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara House of 68 years; his daughter Ronda and Willy Morrow; grandkids Chad and Jenny Morrow, Candice and Scott Lackey; great-grandkids Hope and Jordan Caylor, Kelsey Morrow and Levi Fulton, Garret and Lily Lackey, Ashlynn and Kaitlynn Lackey; and three great-great grandkids, Lane and Colby Caylor and Ryleigh Fulton.

Due to Covid we will be having a private service and a celebration of life in the future.

Thank you to Hospice of Humboldt. We appreciate all of your help.
