Piercy Man Arrested While Importing 44 Grams of Fentanyl, Drug Task Force Says
From the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:
On April 5th, 2021, at approximately 2:00
A.M., special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force
(HCDTF), with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s
Office (HCSO), made a traffic stop on Shaun
Maurice Stringfellow (40 years
old from Piercy) in the 700 block of Highway 101 in Piercy. The HCDTF
had been investigating Stringfellow for approximately one month for
transporting fentanyl from San Francisco into Humboldt County, and
then selling fentanyl in the Garberville area. HCDTF Agents had
obtained a search warrant for Stringfellow and his vehicle.
During
the search of Stringfellow’s vehicle agents located approximately 1
½ ounces of Fentanyl (44 grams) underneath the dashboard of the car.
Stringfellow admitted to agents that he travelled to San Francisco,
purchased the fentanyl and transported it back to Humboldt County.
Stringfellow was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Jail
where he was booked for the following charges:
H&S 11351 Possession of controlled
substances for sale
H&S 11352(a) Transportation of
controlled substances for sale
H&S 11352(b) Transportation of
controlled substances across non-contiguous counties
