From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Jan. 10, 2021, at about 4:12 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies received information that a vehicle stolen from a local elementary school during a recent burglary had been observed in the area of Grange Road in McKinleyville.

Deputies arrived in the area and located the stolen vehicle unoccupied. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the elementary school.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the community for their assistance with this investigation. A second suspect associated with this case remains outstanding and has not been identified at this time.
