After nearly three decades without one, is Humboldt County in desperate need of a kite festival? The wind-riding members of Humboldt Kiters think so. But until they get that figured out, local kiter Jimmie Nord wants to make sure everyone knows that they’re invited to come fly their own colorful kites with his crew during their regular gatherings which take place on the third Saturday of the month kinda down near the Humboldt Bay bridges. (Hint: Look for the kites.)
