Brother Jonathan Glinsey was born December 10, 1959 to Phyllis Ann Fields and Arthur Glinsey Sr. in Indianapolis.

He later moved from San Bernardino to Eureka. Jonathan married Carolyn Ann Thomas on June 22, 2019 in Eureka. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, where he felt comfort and spiritually supported by Pastor Burke. Jonathan went home to be with the lord on November 2, 2021.

He loved dancing and pop locking. He was a hard worker all his life. No matter what the job was, he always worked hard to get it done to the best of his ability. He was fun, loving, caring and loved to make people laugh. He had jokes for days. He was still trying to dance and joke till the day he was called upon by the lord. He enjoyed holiday decorating at home as well as decorating the outside of his bonus daughter’s house with lights and reindeer yearly for Christmas. Jonathan loved to clean and detail everyone’s vehicle when the opportunity came. He sang beautifully when his songs came on the radio and often with no radio at all. His favorite music to sing was Gospel and Christmas music. He loved to sing in church as well.

Jonathan was well grounded with the word of God. He loved worshiping and quoting the Bible. His favorite Bible verse he often quoted was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world.”

Jonathan was a fun, loving, caring husband, father, brother, brother in-law, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Thomas-Glinsey, sister’s Vanessa Martin and Marshell Patterson, his Sons Dante Halbert, Jonathan Glinsey, Johnathan Summers, and Joshua Glinsey. His Daughters, Tiffany Glinsey and LaToya Glinsey. He also had three bonus daughters from his marriage to Carolyn as well as multiple grandchildren, one great-grandson, and multiple nephews and nieces.
