Lillian Clarke Hagele
April 10, 1922 — October 22, 2021

Lillian Clarke Hagele passed away peacefully in her sleep October 22, 2021 at her home in Fortuna. She was born April 10, 1922 in Philadelphia, Penn. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hagele. At the time of Ray’s passing they were married 55 years.

Before she retired Lillian was an executive secretary for a manufacturing company in Pomona, Calif. After Lillian and Ray retired they first moved to Shelter Cove and then later made their home in Fortuna.

Lillian loved people, children, babies and animals. She was beautiful inside and out. She was loved by many people. She will truly be missed. She will forever be in our hearts.

Lillian is survived by her son, Scott Hagele and his wife, Sharon of Beaverton, Oregon; daughter, Sheri Christensen and her husband, Chris, of Fortuna; son Lance Hagele and his wife, Luana of Silverdale, Wash.; four grandchildren, Denae Lopez and her husband, Daniel, of McKinleyville; Jena Holmgren and her husband, Bret of Hydesville; Scott Christensen of Fortuna; and Raymond Hagele of Silverdale, Wash. Other family members include Carol Eshelman, three great-grandchildren, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Thank you to her many caregivers: Sue, Connie, Bonnie, Hope, Dona, Adalina, and Hope. Thanks also to Dr. Ruben Brinckhaus and Fannette Downey-Allman for their care and kindness.

Services will be held November 15, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church in Fortuna at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul Demant will be officiating. Interment following at Sunrise Cemetery, Fortuna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Goble’s Chapel, Fortuna.
