Marie Gutierrez passed on peacefully at her home on Nov. 23, 2021.

A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her partner, Harold, her children and their spouses/partners: Paula, Phil & Marie, Ray & Steve, Mike, Paul & Kathi and Steve & Taryn as well as numerous grandchildren.

Originally born in Muskegon, Michigan, her family found their way to Southern California, where she grew to adulthood. Rather than becoming a stewardess, which she went to school for, she married her childhood sweetheart, Tony and settled down to become a homemaker and raise their children. It was a busy life with cooking, house cleaning, shopping and providing clothing for six children. She was fair but firm, imparting many valuable life lessons. She remarried several years after the loss of her husband, Tony. With her second husband, Simon, travelling and dancing were their favorite past times. After Simon’s passing, Harold became her constant companion and they spent many happy years together.

She was an avid gardener, a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Her energy was boundless.
