UPDATE: The Arcata Police Department says that Mr. Buck has been located and reunited with his family.

From the Arcata Police Department:

APD is requesting assistance in locating an elderly missing adult. 

Whitney Buck DOB/8-16-1930 left his residence in Arcata at about 4:00 pm to run errands in the Arcata area.  Buck was last seen at a relative’s residence in McKinleyville at about 5:00 pm. 

Buck is described as a white male adult, 6‘3”, 175 pounds with grey hair and dark eyes.   Buck was last seen wearing a navy-blue corduroy jacket, pale yellow dress shirt, khaki pants, brown sweater, and scarf.

Buck is driving a Silver 2008 Nissan Altima with California License Plate AN226DP. 

Buck can sometimes become confused when he is driving to places and will sometimes stop on the side of the road and take a nap.
