Firefighters from several local agencies are currently working to stamp out a series of fires that broke out along Vance Avenue in Samoa, on either side of the bridge, early this afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office has been dispatched to the scene as well, according to scanner traffic, as it appears that the fires were intentionally set by a person.

As of a few moments ago, firefighters were trying to determine exactly how many roadside fires there were. The answer appears to be four, at minimum, with several others possible.

The Outpost’s Andrew Goff, at the scene, says that emergency personnel seem to have knocked down most of the fires.
