Everett Lee Stone
79 years old

Born October 7, 1943 he died peacefully at Mad River Hospital in Arcata at 10:01 p.m.

Everett was the second to the youngest of six siblings. He was born in Charleston, Missouri to Carl R. Stone and Minnie Lee Stone.

Everett was one of a kind. He sure was a stubborn ole man, though. He was definitely set in his own ways, that’s for sure. He sure did have a heart of gold. Especially for the ones he cared about the most. You just had to get past his stubbornness first. Also he was definitely quite the storyteller. He sure had many crazy stories to tell about the good old days.

Everett was proceeded into death by not only his parents, Carl and Minnie Stone, but also his loving wife and the mother of his children, Wanda Stone (Sanders) This year marked their 56th anniversary to being married. Also four out of his six total brothers and sisters, his grandson James Lee and his son Freddy Mendoza..

Everett’s survived by his daughter Gwendolyn Egger of Manila, his son Shannon Stone of Eureka, and his other two children, Karen Mendoza of Nevada and Kenny Mendoza of Eureka. Everett also had his grandchildren, Daniel Egger of Fortuna, Kendra Egger of Manila and also his great-grandchildren Kevin and Tracy Mendoza of Stockton, Coeina Lay and Thomas Brennan of Eureka. Everett also had a few great-grandchildren as well — Danica Egger of Eureka, Daniel Egger Jr of Manila, Skyler Reed Harris and Lennon June of Redding.

There will be a small get-together for immediate family members and close friends, along with anyone else that wishes to share good memories and say goodbye to Everett. Also to remember him as he was. Feel free to come by Luffenholtz Beach, Trinidad on Saturday, January 14, at 2 p.m.
