Jackie was born in Arcata to Jack and Beverly Dickinson. She was the second of four siblings. She attended Sunny Brae Elementary school, Stewart Junior High School and Arcata High School, graduating in 1960. After High School she went on to Business College in Monterey. She married Claude Hodge in 1961 at St. Mary’s Church in Arcata, having met him in the seventh grade at Stewart Jr. High and dated on and off through high school, marrying after attending business college.

Jackie and her twin sister Marilynn had fun throughout the years fooling people as identical twins, even going to a Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio, in 1991.

She worked at her grandfather’s car dealership in Arcata (P.C.Sacchi’s Chevrolet) on and off throughout high school and later working in the banking industry at Home Federal Savings and Loan in the Arcata and Eureka branches.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered as a pink lady at the local hospital, and loved to play bridge, canasta, bocce ball and other card games with friends. She enjoyed camping in her fifth wheel trailer, playing golf and snow skiing trips to Mt. Ashland.

She loved her canine friends, Jason, Jenny, Freckles and latest Daisy Mae.

She is survived by her three children, Kevin (Kipp), Keith (Heather) and Sheryl Pelascini (Kevin), her five grandchildren: Brian (Lydia), Nathaniel, Whitney, Tyler and Emily, and her only great-grandchild: Amelia. Her bonus daughter Kathy Holmes (Rassbach). Her two sisters, Sandra (Dick) Fedder, Marilynn Morris, and brother Jack (Ellen) Dickinson. Niece and nephew: Lisa (Craig) Hansen, Todd (Pat) Nothem, as well as cousins and friends too numerous to list.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Beverly Dickinson, daughter-in-law Anne Hodge, and grandparents Pete and Jennie Sacchi. Her previous husband Robert Rassbach and his daughter Suzie Fusie and son Scott Rassbach

A celebration of life will be held on January 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the P.C. Sacchi bulding showroom in Arcata (now Rita’s Mexican restaurant). Please come help us celebrate Jackie’s life and share your memories. No funeral service will be held, just a graveside service for family. Please remember the good times you enjoyed with Jackie and know that she enjoyed each and every one of her family and friends and spoke of you often.
