The Eureka Waterfront was awash in bubbles and rainbow flags this morning as the Redwood Pride Parade kicked off Pride Month in Humboldt. About 200 people, dressed in every color of the rainbow, marched and danced their way from the Adorni Center to Madaket Plaza along Waterfront Drive — waving flags, twirling ribbons and singing pop songs. The sun even came out to celebrate!
Festivities will continue through the weekend. If you hurry, you might still catch the Community Pride Festival at the Jefferson Center — 1000 B Street in Eureka. More events are planned for Sunday, all of which can be found here.
