The Arcata Police Department invites community members of all ages to its Open House on Saturday, August 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, at 736 F Street Arcata, Ca.

This event offers an opportunity to step inside the department, meet the people who serve our community, and learn about the work of local law enforcement in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Take guided tours of the Arcata Police Department
• Meet members of our teams
• Explore patrol vehicles and police bikes
• Tour the department’s mobile command vehicle
• Experience a De-escalation/Force Option Simulator
• Enjoy free hot dogs while visiting with members of the department

The Open House is designed to encourage conversation, build connections, and give community members a firsthand look at the people, equipment, and resources that help keep Arcata safe.
