Humboldt Bay firefighters are responding to a reported oven fire at Dwivedi Tower, an apartment complex on E Street in Old Town Eureka.

Shortly after 9:20 a.m., light smoke could be seen coming from a third-floor window at the apartment complex. Firefighters arrived on scene moments later, blocking E Street to accommodate the ladder truck.

Battalion Chief Ben Miller told the Outpost‘s Ryan Burns that the smoke was coming from a small oven fire. “We’re just clearing it now,” he said, adding that the residents were safe.
