Rudolph “Rudy” Theodore Davi passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on  July 16, 2026. He was born July 9, 1935 in San Francisco to Antone Davi, Sr and Marie Marinello. Rudy loved to reminisce about the days playing on the streets of San Franciso. He was proud to serve duty receiving honorable discharges from the National Guard in 1951 and from the US Army in 1964 where he received Marksman and Good Conduct honors.

Rudy worked at family-owned businesses in Eureka — cab and trucking companies — in the 1950s. Rudy also worked for many other trucking firms hauling logs, chips, long line freight, and most fond of his employment with Callison Trucking Co. During his employment with Neilson Freightlines, he received a 2mm mile safe driving award.

Married in 1964 to the love of his life and best of friend for over 50 years, Madge “Madgie” Davi. Together they enjoyed local youth sports of every kind, traveling to many out-of- town and out-of-state games in support of their extended families. They loved to follow Jazz Festivals enjoying the music and to dance seemingly with their “feet off the floor.” They also rode motorcycles together and were part of the Rouge Valley Road Riders in support of Muscular Dystrophy, Crippled Children’s Hospital and Helicopter Emergency Services. He was a proud member of the Eureka Moose Lodge for over 50 years and Elks Club, where he spent most of his later days playing pool and making everlasting friends.

Rudy was predeceased by his parents Antone Davi, Sr and Marie Marinello; the Davi brothers Antone Jr, Frank, Ernest, Donald and Joseph. He is survived by his daughter and son-in law Kelli and Reed Spiers; grandsons Tyler and Travis Pasquini; 4 great- grandchildren; and niece-sister Jean Davi-Wiggington; all of whom he cherished.

Rudy will be greatly missed and remembered for his stories, dad jokes, impersonations, and numerous fun times in which we were all blessed to be a part of. We are honoring his request for a private family gathering. If you wish to donate in remembrance, Hospice or any local youth sports would be his wish.
