… or, as a Pokemon duel!

Pokemon Duel: Carlotta Gardens Battle

Trainer 1:
Name: Portia
Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle

Trainer 2:
Name: Carlotta
Pokemon: Gyarados, Jolteon, Arcanine

The battle takes place at Carlotta Gardens, where both trainers have gathered for a Pokemon duel. Trainer Portia steps onto the field with her team of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Trainer Carlotta follows suit, with her team consisting of Gyarados, Jolteon, and Arcanine.

The referee signals the start of the battle, and both trainers send out their first Pokemon.

Trainer Portia starts with Bulbasaur, a Grass/Poison type Pokemon, while Trainer Carlotta sends out Gyarados, a Water/Flying type Pokemon.

Bulbasaur starts the battle by using Vine Whip, lashing out at Gyarados with its vines. Gyarados retaliates with Aqua Tail, slamming Bulbasaur with a powerful water attack. Both Pokemon exchange blows, but Gyarados’ strength overwhelms Bulbasaur, and it faints.

Trainer Portia quickly sends out Charmander, a Fire type Pokemon, to take Bulbasaur’s place. Charmander launches a Flamethrower at Gyarados, but the Water type withstands the attack and counterattacks with Hydro Pump. The powerful water blast hits Charmander hard, and it falls to the ground, unable to battle.

With two Pokemon down, Trainer Portia is left with Squirtle as her last hope. Squirtle, a Water type Pokemon, uses Water Gun against Gyarados. However, Gyarados avoids the attack swiftly and returns with a Thunder attack. Squirtle, weakened by the electric shock, struggles to stand but manages to unleash a powerful Skull Bash. The attack hits Gyarados, but it remains standing.

Recognizing Squirtle’s determination, Trainer Portia encourages her Pokemon to keep fighting. Squirtle uses Aqua Jet, charging towards Gyarados with incredible speed. The attack catches Gyarados off guard, and it faints, unable to continue.

Getting ready for her next move, Trainer Carlotta chooses Jolteon, an Electric type Pokemon, to face Squirtle. Jolteon launches Thunderbolt, hitting Squirtle and paralyzing it temporarily. Squirtle struggles to move but musters up the strength for a powerful Hydro Cannon attack. The force of the water blast overwhelms Jolteon, and it is knocked out.

With one Pokemon remaining on each side, Trainer Carlotta sends out her final Pokemon, Arcanine. Squirtle, still paralyzed, tries to fight back but is unable to land a hit. Arcanine uses Flamethrower, burning through Squirtle’s defenses and defeating it.

Trainer Carlotta emerges victorious, winning the Pokemon duel at Carlotta Gardens. Both trainers shake hands, showing respect for each other’s skill and determination. The crowd applauds their efforts as the battle comes to an end.

… or, as an Elizabethan sonnet!

In Myrtletown, where Lucas and Myrtle meet,
A project lingers on the Planning’s mind.
A Conditional Use Permit’s deceit,
To modify, to alter, to redesign.

The mini storage center, as it stands,
Shall change its shape, its configuration.
Its wetland buffer falters, slight demands,
Reducing from one hundred feet’s duration.

Consultation with the Fish and Wildlife,
A replanting plan to appease their needs,
To mitigate the impact, to comply,
And follow their guidance, wise words to heed.

With recommended conditions, permit passed,
A modified structure, built to outlast.
