1. Adoption of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 County Budget and Special District Budgets (4/5 Vote Required)
The County of Humboldt is proposing a budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, which includes adjustments to funding for various programs and services. The Board of Supervisors must vote to approve the budget, which will impact county departments, agencies, and community organizations. The total county budget for adoption is $657,800,996. The Board also directed staff to develop budget workshops to address ongoing financial challenges and consider funding for animal control services.
