Man Suffers Major Injuries in Early-Morning Crash on Highway 299 Near Big Bar

A man in his 60s reportedly suffered major injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 299 early this morning east of Big Bar.

According to the CHP incident report, the man’s vehicle drove off the roadway sometime before 1:43 a.m., coming to rest 30 feet down an embankment.

Caltrans was the first to arrive on scene and reported that the man was suffering from a head injury.

The vehicle has not yet been towed from the area.
