Pedestrian Struck on Highway 101 Near Humboldt Hill This Morning; Coroner Being Called to Scene
UPDATE: 9:10 a.m.: Traffic is still very snarled on northbound 101. It seems to be backed up all the way to Hookton Road. Expect delays.

UPDATE, 8:14 a.m.: The Highway Patrol has opened one lane of northbound traffic while they continue their investigation. It’s probably going to be slow for a while.

A person was struck multiple times on Highway 101 near the Humboldt Hill onramp this morning. Emergency personnel are on scene, and traffic is being diverted.
One caller to the California Highway Patrol said that the person had walked out into traffic and had since been struck by numerous vehicles, including a big rig.
A coroner has been summoned to the scene, according to scanner traffic.
