Major-Injury Crash on Highway 101 Near Big Lagoon
At least one person suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 101 near Kane Road this afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol Incident report, a blue pickup truck and a silver SUV collided on the roadway at approximately 12:09 p.m.
Both lanes of the highway were closed for approximately 30 minutes while emergency crews attempted to extract one of the crash victims from their vehicle.
According to scanner traffic, one patient is being flown to the hospital by helicopter.
