Major-Injury Crash Along Avenue of the Giants
At least one person suffered major injuries from a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Avenue of the Giants this morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident report, the car hit a tree south of Myers Flat at approximately 10:08 a.m.
A reporting person told the CHP that the car appeared to be traveling 50 mph at the time of the crash.
The report states that one person may have suffered a broken leg in the crash and that one person was transported to the hospital.
Calfire and Humboldt Redwoods State Park officials also responded to the scene.
