COVID REPORT: Humboldt Resident in Their 80s Dies; Eight New Cases Confirmed
Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
A Humboldt County resident in their 80s has died after testing positive for COVID-19. Public Health and Emergency Operations Center staff share their sympathies with all who have lost friends or loved ones to the virus.
Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported today. One case recorded previously was determined to be from another jurisdiction. The total number of county residents who have tested positive is now 3,448.
Two previously reported hospitalizations are being removed from the county’s count. One of those positive cases was admitted to a local hospital for treatment unrelated to the virus, and the other was assigned to another jurisdiction earlier this week, so that person’s hospitalization was also removed.
