Meet  The ‘D’ Litter. They can be found at the Companion Animal Foundation. 

This litter of nine boys and girls, more of the cats rescued from Alderpoint, are so cute, smart, and affectionate! All their names start with “D”, as Daisy is their mom. They will be spayed or neutered and ready for their new homes mid to end of June

Robin been at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter since Sep 21, 2021.  She is a 7 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.

Robin is a well mannered girl who loves people and snuggling. She has a lovely sit when leashing her up for a walk. Robin loves a good game of fetch and would really love a home where she can be active.

Meet Harley! Harley is a 6 year old German Shepard mix. She is a total sweetheart and staff favorite. Harley would love to find an active household to call home. Her favorite activity, other than snuggling and going for long walks, is to chase a herding ball. We can’t fathom why this beauty has been at the shelter for nearly a year.

Meet Flame. He can be found at the Companion Animal Foundation. 

Came from Alderpoint area. Was raised by mom and auntie, with siblings and cousins. Has had some socialization with children.

The dynamic duo - Yvette and Colonel Mustard came to the shelter together and will be adopted together as a bonded pair. Colonel Mustard is a Boxer and Cattle Dog mix, he is just the happiest dude who has a big heart and a big wiggle-butt. Yvette is a 1 ½ year old Golden Retriever mix. She is eager to please her humans and loves to cuddle. When she’s with her human, she is calm and peaceful, that’s why we believe she’d make a wonderful ESA. If you’re looking for someone to greet you at the door and be excited to see you, these two are your match!

Meet Tina. This lady is a bit older, she’s estimated to be about 7 years old. So far, she’s been a bit stressed since arriving at Karuna. As she continues to decompress were excited to see more of her sweet snuggly and playful side! We’ve gotten to see little bits when she lets her guard down. She’s gotten along with all the other dogs she’s been meeting so far, which is great! She is also spayed and up to date on her shots.

Memphis has been at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter since Dec. 2023. He is a 2 year old Pit Bull Terrier. 

Memphis loves chasing after tossed toys while out in the play yard. He’ll come up to you and climb in your lap if given the opportunity— he loves to snuggle! Memphis enjoys long walks on the beach and copious back scritches.

Timber has been at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter since Nov. 2023. He is a 5 year old Alaskan Malamute. 

Dreamboat Timber is a sight to behold— he’s gorgeous, athletic, and kind of a goof! He is entertaining to watch when he plays with toys and has been described as being “good natured, silly, and a joy to be around” by his volunteer friends.

Mambo has been at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter since Feb, 2023. He is a 4 year old German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky mix.

With his winning personality and movie-star good looks and charm, this energetic boy will make a wonderful companion for someone with energy to burn.

This little man is an absolute steal your girl kind of guy! He is a loving playful pup that gets along with all the other dogs he meets. He’s only about 11 weeks old. He is a chihuahua frenchie cross. He is neutered and up to date on shots. As you can see in the picture, he needs a minor operation to fix his cherry eye. He will be available for adoption after his eye is fixed.

Toffee is 1.5 years old. Need a little silliness in your life? Toffee might just be what you need! He’ll entertain himself with toys if you’re busy or happily engage with you if you want to play. He is also very smart and a fast learner.

Honey is a 10 month old Cattle Dog and Shepherd cross. Honey’s ideal household will have patience with her shyness; someone to go slow with her until she is bonded. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest snuggle bun. Honey loves to play with other dogs and go for long walkies.

Meet Theo!  Theo is a sensitive fellow who has played great with other dogs at the shelter. His signature move has been to bring the other dog a toy they can play tug with. Recently he helped us out by being a guide dog for one of our blind dogs! He also has the cutest bouncy hop he uses when running around the play yard.

Kiki is about 3 years old. She knows Sit, Shake, and walks beautifully on leash. She loves toys, treats, and cuddles! Kiki plays a great game of fetch and rides well in a car.

Odie Is a lively boy who is ready for any adventure you throw his way. While he is energetic, he also shows the ability to settle and chew on a bone or toy while you are at rest. He has shown us that he knows the commands for sit and down.

Cece is a 3 year old Chihuahua and cattle dog mix. She has a strong herding drive and loves to play fetch. Cece is eager to please her human which makes her a dream to teach and she already knows many commands. Cece loves a good roll in the grass and sleeps quietly in her kennel all night long. She has great off-leash recall.
