Firefighters are canceling all aircraft that were summoned to the Blue Lake fire, but asking for a couple of ground resources to continue to the scene. “We should be able to cut this off,” a firefighter says.

First firefighters on scene report 100 by 150-foot fire with a slow rate of spread, on the north side of the river.

Vegetation fire in Blue Lake near the intersection of Hatchery Road and Taylor Way — just past the Mad River Brewing taproom. Lots of units from Blue Lake and elsewhere are being scrambled for this.
