Caltrans is keeping a close eye on Fernbridge as waters rise. The river’s under a flood watch for tomorrow, so likely nothing until then.

Meanwhile, check out this video of the Mighty Mad flowing near the hatchery at Blue Lake. Tyee City and environs in the Arcata Bottoms are going to have to watch out for high water, too.

The vehicle that dropped the shooting victim off at Mad River Hospital reportedly fled northbound on Janes at a high rate of speed. A CHP officer may have observed the vehicle and a brief pursuit may have ensued. It is unclear (to me) if the vehicle stopped.

HCSO is responding to Arcata for the gunshot victim at the hospital. CHP is possibly behind the vehicle that dropped the patient off at Mad River Hospital. An APD officer over the radio confirmed that this is related to the Crane St. incident in Eureka.

Arcata PD is receiving a call from Mad River Hospital reporting that a vehicle just dropped off a female with a gunshot wound and the vehicle left

One gunshot victim has been confirmed deceased

At least one patient from the shooting has been transported to the hospital.

There are reportedly three gunshot victims. Two are unresponsive, the other is responsive. HBF and ambulances are at scene with HCSO and EPD. The third ambulance has been canceled by fire. Detectives have been requested.

HBF starting an additional engine and 2 more ambulances to the shooting scene. Battalion 8102 has added himself to the call.

Arcata Police report that the fire at the Transit Center has been extinguished; Fieldbrook Engine 8717 cancel that response and move in and cover Arcata’s Mad River Station

First two Arcata engines handling Sutter Road, other companies clearing to either return to quarters and one responding to an alarm in 8100 block West End Road; AND debris fire at Arcata Transit Center 900 block E Street for Engine 8717.
