Scanner traffic seems to indicate that they don’t have enough to charge these people with 211 (Robbery) yet, but only for evading and resisting so far. On the freeway they were going 100+ from Murray Rd up to Trinidad, and 60 south on Westhaven Drive before they lost control after crossing over the freeway and ending up on Scenic Drive.

CG helo 6508 is up now as well, is using their infrared to try to find this person. Unless she crawled into a house or underneath a rock she should show up well in the 40° temps in the area at the moment.

Coast Guard Helicopter 6558 is coming overhead and in radio contact with the search team in the area the officer last saw the fleeing suspect, on CALCORD channel.

Apparently a helicopter has been requested, presumably from the Coast Guard (if they’ll do it). CHP’s nearest copters are based at Benton over in Redding. Current weather at McK airport is clear, 10 mi visibility, wind 3-6 mph from the N/NE.

I’m hearing CLEMARS just fine on my scanner, but don’t know if the scanner feeds can hear its low-power from Westhaven

There was a report that the foot-bail female may have gone {fallen?) over the cliff, so they’re trying to check that area. Arcata PD’s K9 has been there since shortly after the car crashed and she ran. Additional units still enroute; they’re going to try CLEMARS channel so everybody there can talk to each other. I won’t be picking that channel up very well - if at all.

I missed the beginning of the thing, but it must have been a known crime (like a robbery) since the cops knew the descriptions while the chase was in progress on Murray rd and getting on 101 northbound. Car has Missouri plates.

HCSO pursuit… this is a late entry but HCSO, CHP and Arcata PD are out in the Scenic Drive area in Westhaven after a pursuit. Suspects were described as 2 male blacks with handguns, who are in custody, but a third occupant made foot-bail from the crash, a black female wearing green top and pants, last seen s/bound on Scenic Drive on foot
