Someone just backed into an EPD patrol car at Fifth and G and split the scene. He’s going to wish he hadn’t done that.

The Humboldt North Scanner feed is back online as of about 08:00. From their overnight text messages to me, as of 1:34 a.m. “Feed 1161 down - last seen 15 mins ago) Feed: Humboldt County Fire, Law, EMS - Eureka and North is offline.”.
Just FYI, yesterday’s stats show maximum listeners at 129 between 9 and 10 a.m., and remaining above 100 until 1:00 p.m. Then slowly declining to a steady 40-50 after 5:00 pm until the normal drop-off around midnight. Then down to zero when Suddenlink went dead around 01:30.

Humb North Scanner feed is down due to Suddenlink outage in McKinleyville area, which they announced late last evening would be occurring “between midnight and 6:00 a.m.” I’ll restore it as soon as possible. (Better today than yesterday morning, I suppose). . Meanwhile the SoHum feed is running and covers the south county and some countywide channels (HCSO, CalFire, CHP and I believe Eureka PD.
